The role involves both project management for executing advanced data, reporting and infrastructure solutions, as well as helping us build the foundation to embrace the advances made within AI.
About Annalect
Annalect is the Nordic regions leader in advanced decision-making systems within marketing and a global specialist unit for technology, data, and analytics. As part of Omnicom Media Group - a network of media, performance, and creative agencies - Annalect has been driving data-driven strategies and advanced analytics within the group since 2016. In the Nordics, we work closely with the group’s media agencies, supporting data-driven media planning and execution. We specialize in collecting, analysing, and leveraging data to provide our clients with insights and strategies aimed at optimizing marketing campaigns and achieving their business objectives. We are a strong team of 30 employees in Sweden and around 100 in the Nordics.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain data analytics and reporting solutions that drive informed decision-making. Collaborating closely with advertisers and client teams, you will gather and translate data requirements into scalable models, build efficient data pipelines, and deliver impactful reports.
In this role, you will design and implement systems that enable seamless data integration, transformation, and accessibility across the organization. Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists and Analysts, you will create pipelines that support advanced analytics and AI-powered initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines
- Build and maintain data extraction scripts in Python from public and private APIs
- Create visually compelling and interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
- Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability, ensuring timely access to data for end-users
- Perform data quality assessments and implement data governance best practices to maintain data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and align BI solutions with strategic objectives
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in all BI solutions
- Play a critical role in scaling AI initiatives, ensuring the seamless integration of advanced models into real-world media applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
- A strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem and the data infrastructure attached to it
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Analytics Engineer
- High proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation
- Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar
- Proficiency in BI tools such as PowerBI, Looker Studio, or Tableau and the ability to create visually appealing reports and dashboards
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Experience with ETL processes and building data models
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and data storytelling
- Proficient in English reading and writing
